RRB ALP CBT 1 Exam Date and Shift Timings 2026
The Railway Recruitment Boards will conduct the ALP CBT 1 examination over three days: November 3, 4 and 5. The examination will be held in three shifts each day.
The supplied reference material gives the following general shift schedule:
| Shift | Reporting Time | Gate Closing Time | Exam Timing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shift 1 | 7:30 AM | 8:30 AM | 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM |
| Shift 2 | 11:00 AM | 12:00 PM | 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM |
| Shift 3 | 3:00 PM | 4:00 PM | 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM |
Candidates must check their individual admit cards for the exact reporting time and gate-closing time. Do not assume that every examination centre will have the same arrangements.
Reaching the centre early is important because candidates may need to complete identity checks and other entry formalities before the examination begins.
RRB ALP City Intimation Slip 2026
RRB released the ALP City Intimation Slip 2026 from October 24 for candidates appearing in the November examination.
The purpose of the city slip is to inform candidates about their allotted examination city before the admit card is issued. This gives candidates time to plan their journey, particularly if the examination centre is in another city.
However, the city intimation slip is not the same as the admit card. It does not replace the e-call letter required for examination entry. Candidates must download the hall ticket separately and check the complete centre address printed on it.
Details Mentioned on RRB ALP Admit Card 2026
Once the hall ticket is downloaded, candidates should carefully review the information printed on it.
The admit card contains important details such as:

- Post name – Assistant Loco Pilot
- CEN number – 01/2026

If you notice an error in your name, photograph, signature or other personal details, contact the concerned regional RRB through its official helpdesk before the examination.
